April 21, 2026 — The Inspirations’ “Sea of Forgetfulness” is No. 1 on the Singing News chart in their upcoming June issue.
The song from the Up Above The World So High album was written by Ronnie Hinson and captures The Inspirations’ signature sound with the featured bass vocal of Wyatt Austin.
“When Ronnie Hinson pitched the song, I cried. When we recorded it, I cried. On stage when we sing it, I still cry,” says Austin. “‘Sea of Forgetfulness’ is a perfect story of my testimony of what the Lord has done for me! Thank you all for making it number 1. I hope this means its message will reach many more people!”
This No. 1 marks the second for the quartet’s current lineup, the first being last June’s “My Name’s Already There” from their album The Legacy Continues.
